About Me

Real Estate Photography is a large part of my work, although I enjoy photographing anything. I am based in Bangor, ME, and lived in southern New Hampshire for nearly half of my life. Originally though, I’m from Washington State. I’ve been involved in the graphic arts for the last 18 years and graduated from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology, NY) in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Graphic Communications, giving me a strong background in imaging as well as the various software that is used to edit photographs.

Luckily, all of this fit well with my passion for photography and my desire to challenge myself behind the lens. Since my first photography class in high school where I used a sheet of paper wrapped around my lens to create a false vignette on portraits, I’ve enjoyed both film and digital cameras. Starting with the classic Pentax K1000 and moving to an Olympus OM-PC, I jumped to a Nikon D50 when it turned out to be cheaper than getting my other camera fixed. Now I work solely in the digital realm with Nikon camera bodies and an assortment of lenses. When I’m not shooting or otherwise working, you’ll find me bouldering or sport climbing, or if inspiration hits, working on another book.
